Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Social Brief. Please read them carefully.

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Social Brief (the "Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement.

If you do not agree to abide by the above, please do not use this service.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Social Brief service operated by BriefTech Inc ("us", "we", or "our").

These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service.

Service Description

Social Brief is a service that transforms social media content into personalized podcast-style audio briefs.

We access public social media data to create AI-generated audio summaries of trending topics and personal timelines.

The Service includes both free popular briefs and paid personalized timeline briefs.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service.

User Accounts

To access certain features of the Service, you must register for an account.

You may create an account using your email address or through Google Sign-In for convenience.

When using Google Sign-In, you authorize us to access your basic profile information (email address and name) as described in our Privacy Policy.

Your Google account credentials are never stored by us - authentication is handled securely by Google.

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.

You are responsible for safeguarding the password and for all activities under your account.

You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.

You may delete your account at any time from your profile settings.

Account data will be retained for 30 days after deletion for recovery purposes, then permanently deleted.

When you delete your account, we immediately revoke any Google OAuth tokens and remove access permissions.

Subscription and Billing

The Service offers both free and paid subscription plans.

Free Plan: Access to unlimited popular briefs with standard features.

Personal Plan: 1 custom timeline brief with advanced features including any tone & personality, advanced transcript search, priority support, tweet deep-linking, download & share capabilities, and no advertisements.

Add-on Plan: Additional timeline/list with premium voice options, extended length options, advanced filtering, and custom scheduling. Requires Personal plan.

Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis.

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store payment information.

You can cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe customer portal.

No refunds are provided, but you can cancel your subscription to avoid future charges.

We may change subscription prices with 30 days notice to existing subscribers.

Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable laws or regulations

• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation

• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers

• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other accounts

• Distribute malware, viruses, or other harmful code

• Engage in spamming, harassment, or abusive behavior

• Use the Service for commercial purposes without permission

• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the Service

We reserve the right to investigate violations and take appropriate action, including account suspension or termination.

Content and Intellectual Property

Social Brief owns all rights to the generated audio briefs and content.

You may download and share briefs for personal use only.

The Service, including its design, functionality, and content, is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

Social Brief, our logos, and related marks are trademarks of BriefTech Inc.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of our intellectual property without permission.

Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with Twitter to access public timeline data for brief generation.

We use Google Sign-In for authentication, which is subject to Google's Terms of Service.

Our use of Google user data is limited to authentication purposes only (email, profile, and openid scopes).

We use various AI language model providers to generate content.

Payment processing is handled by Stripe, subject to their terms of service.

We are not responsible for the availability, content, or practices of third-party services.

Your use of third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

Service Availability

We strive to maintain high service availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or technical issues.

We will provide reasonable notice for scheduled maintenance when possible.

We are not liable for any damages resulting from service interruptions or downtime.

Disclaimers and Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of generated content.

We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, secure, or available at all times.

AI-generated content may contain errors, biases, or inaccuracies. Use at your own discretion.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BRIEFTECH INC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

Our total liability for any claims shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so these may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims arising from your use of the Service.

Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration.

You waive any right to participate in class action lawsuits or class-wide arbitrations.

Arbitration will be conducted under the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

You may opt out of arbitration by notifying us in writing within 30 days of account creation.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time.

Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification.

Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

If you disagree with changes, you may terminate your account.

Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or through account settings.

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately for violations of these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

Provisions regarding intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitation of liability survive termination.
